Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished psychologist since 1993, and the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized for pioneering the study of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in the legal setting. Her publications are numerous and she has been awarded numerous grants and has been the recipient of numerous awards both national and internationally. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments across the world on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are victims of the legal system. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
